Heard Island and McDonald Islands (HIMI) is a subantarctic island group located in the Southern Ocean, about 4,000 kilometres south west of mainland Australia.

The islands and surrounding waters teem with wildlife and other natural wonders that make HIMI a special place.

Because HIMI is so far away, and because of the extreme ocean and weather conditions, it is not an easy place to visit. This website is intended to provide information about this southern outpost, so you can get to know HIMI without getting your feet wet! >More information about this website...
